What is a Training Practice?

A training practice is a GP surgery accredited to train doctors and medical students. As part of this, we host Doctors training to become GPs, working under supervision while gradually gaining independence.

These trainees work closely with our experienced GPs, nurses, and multidisciplinary team to develop their knowledge, skills, and confidence in general practice.

What Does This Mean for Our Patients?

• You may see a GP trainee or foundation doctor during your appointment. They work under close supervision and discuss cases with a senior GP.
• Your consultation may be recorded for training purposes. This will only happen with your full consent, and recordings are used strictly for educational purposes before being securely deleted.
• You may be asked if a medical student can observe your consultation. This helps students learn from real-life practice. You always have the right to decline.
